OUR FOUNDER RICH WELSH:

I came up with the idea of creating a social media presence back in 2018 when it could no longer be argued that the tech giants Facebook, Twitter, Google and others were discriminating against Trump supporters and conservative users.

Every day more and more conservatives were being banned, suspended, or removed from social media platforms over terms of service rules, and it became very obvious that the punishments were arbitrarily being handed out.

Remember, 2018 was bad, but it was nothing back then compared to today. Today, leftists get away with some pretty vulgar posts while conservatives are held to a much stricter standard. The difference is that today the social media tech giants don't care if you think it's unfair how they treat people, they just don't give a damn how biased they look.

I read about Roger Ailes and how he came up with the idea for the Fox News Channel. Back then the left controlled just about all news outlets, and Ailes pointed out that there was an niche that wasn't being fulfilled in America where there were a lot of conservatives who couldn't stand the news lying to them every day, and so he created the Fox News Channel, and the rest is history.

I had the same revelation in that I realized the tech Giants we're now openly left wing, very biased, and very unfair to how they treated the niche of conservatives wanted to use their free speech to communicate. Some people get angry and they complain about it, while others don't just complain but they do. I'm not downing people for complaining, I'm one of them. But I've always considered myself a doer as well because I can't sit idly by and watch what was going on to our free speech rights.

The left makes an argument that social media companies are not censoring people because they're a private firm and only the government can censor. I say bullschtein, because people's civil rights are being violated in that their Free Speech and Freedom of Association rights are being taken away from them, private companies or not. We already hold private corporations accountable to civil rights laws for anti discrimination in hiring and firing practices, so how is people having other civil rights violated based on who they any different?

So, with all of that in mind, I wanted to start a social media company that wouldn't censor people over their political, religious, sexual orientation or whatever beliefs. The only thing I thought should be censored would be blatant racism and threats, be they threats to someone's physical person, by doxxing people, and trying to push a cancel culture on a person or business over what they say online that the thugs do not agree with.

So, that's where my idea for a social media site came from. The next thing I had to think about was do I write the site myself since by trade I am a senior developer, or do I purchase a script already written and tweak it to my satisfaction?

I am joined by my fellow partners, Roger Joseph and O'Della Wilson. We all share the same vision and will do our best to make your experience at Maga-Chat a pleasant one.
